FAQs

First, use only suction to vacuum both sides. Do not use spinning brushes, as they can damage the wool fibers. Mix cold water and light soap together and use it to clean spots. You should blot the spot with a clean cloth instead of rubbing it. To clean the surface better, sponge it lightly in small areas and then blot it with dry towels. Let the rug dry fully in the air, flat, and out of direct sunlight or heat.

Wool rugs often shed when they are first bought, but this generally stops over time. Vacuuming regularly with the suction only setting can help get rid of extra fibers. Do not use vacuums or beating bars that are too rough. For the first few weeks, don't let many people walk on it. If the shedding doesn't stop, use a soft cloth brush to gently loosen the fibers on the surface.

Take action right away. Put paper towels on the spot to soak up as much water as you can. Next, make a solution of 50 parts cold water to one part white vinegar. Gently rub the spot with this solution. To get rid of the smell, blot the area again and sprinkle baking soda over it. We recommend waiting a few hours before cleaning it. Soak the wool in cool water or use enzyme cleaners. These may hurt the wool or change the colors.
