To wash something in a machine, use cold water and the gentle mode. Then, lay it flat to dry. Use a mild soap and a soft brush to wash your hands, then rinse well and dry fully. Check the care label every time you wash something to make sure it won't shrink or get damaged.

Put a rug pad that doesn't slip under the rug to keep it from moving around. Pick a pad that is the right size for the rug and works with the type of floor you have. You could also use carpet tape with two sides on the ends or the back. Corner grippers or rug anchors can help with extra hold in places with a lot of foot traffic. Keeping the rug flat and free of wrinkles is another way to keep it from moving around.
